Jerkbaits

Jerkbait was originally a method used mainly by pike anglers to fish shallow areas. Back then these baits were wobblers without a spoon and today they can be with or without a spoon and are a very popular method for both pike fishing and perch fishing.

The idea is that you pull home jerkbaits to get a "side-to-side" walk. Flashing up the side of the move with a break often causes it to hit right on the break. The bait is perceived as damaged and thus an easy prey.

Incredibly effective way to fish when it is shallow or very grassy. A nice presentation above the vegetation makes the fish come up like a spear from the grass and cut the bait.
