The competition is simple, it's about catching the longest perch, pike and pikeperch. It is a team competition where each team must catch one fish of each species to win. The team that collects the largest total length of its longest perch, pike and zander is the winner.

The competition starts from the shop in Vårby on Hamnvägen 3 and has a public live reporting on skitfiske.app until 13.00, then everything is darkened until the award ceremony.

Simple!

Rules:

• The fish must be measured with nose to 0 against the measuring board
• All teams get a measuring board with team number on it and this number must be included in the picture so it is clearly visible.
• The length of the fish must be clearly visible, no blurred images or ambiguities.
• Millimeters do not count.
• Clamped fins are allowed.
• The whole fish must be visible in the picture.
• All fish count, so there is no minimum size.
• Permitted angling methods are spinning, vertical fishing and fly fishing.
• Trolling, angling, etc. are NOT allowed.
• Live bait is NOT allowed.
• Reporting of fish must be reported no later than 30 minutes after catching.
• Since it is the longest fish of each species that counts, you only need to send in your first fish and then fill in with the longer fish.
• All teams must be back in the strait outside the shop no later than 17.00 otherwise the team will be disqualified. Fish reported after the deadline will not be counted.
• Should several teams fish the same, it is the longest perch that weighs heaviest in the result list.
• The competition is run via skitfiske.app. In the app, live reporting will be visible, all fish, all teams, etc. It is also where all fish should be photographed and reported.

 

Time and place:

Sunday, April 12th at 7:30 a.m.

All teams gather in their boats in the sound outside the shop for a captain's meeting at 07.30, the start is at 08.00. Registration and collection of the measuring board takes place in the shop and when you are ready you go out into the sound again to leave room for other boats. As it is 5 knots inside the sound, all boats go out after the captain's meeting outside the 5 knot rule and stay there until the lead boat fires the starting gun. All boats must be back on the dock by 17.00. Teams that have not handed in their measuring board before 17.00 will be disqualified. If you break off before the end of the race, this must be reported to the management. We in the shop will stand on the bridge with microphone and speakers so that everyone can hear. Respect each other and give way as much as possible.

All boats with a lifejacket must have removed the lifejacket and left it at home. In the unlikely event that it is not possible to remove the transducer, cables will be disconnected and sealed before the race.
But for everyone's sake, make sure to remove the sensor from the boat. We will have an inspector down at the dock.

Prize giving will take place at 17.30.

 

Registration:

Register your team with us only until Saturday, April 11th. The maximum number of participants per boat/team is 3 people. Maximum number of teams is 60. If 60 teams register, we will only accept registrations for the reserve list. The registration fee costs SEK 500 per boat. The fee can be paid on Stockholms Sportfiskebutik's website or directly in the store, or by Swish to 0722080523 (mark swish with team name).

If your team needs to drop out for any reason, this must be notified no later than Monday, April 6th. If this happens after the deadline, the registration fee will not be refundable. This is so that we can give reserve teams a chance to plan for a few days and since the prize table is based largely on the registration fees.

More specific information will be sent out to teams as the competition day approaches.

Prizes:

The winning team will win a traveling trophy and a 15,000 SEK gift card .
2nd and 3rd place will win prizes from the store and sponsors.
There will also be nice individual prizes for those who catch the longest perch, pike, pikeperch and longest bonus fish.

The more teams, the more prizes on the prize table.

 

Extra:

On April 12th (the day of the competition) we have competition discounts for all competitors in the store. 30% on everything!
To avoid crowding, we do as in previous years. You can come in and shop in peace and quiet the days before (April 10 and 11) for the same discounts.
