Spinning Rod

When you use a reeling rod, you use a reeling reel. What applies to a reel rod is that the rings are larger (especially the first ring) than on a spinning rod because a reel spools the line in with a distance from the rod, which means that the first ring must be large to avoid it snagging when you crank and to get longer throws. A small first ring likes to brake the line.

When you are going to buy a reel rod, you should first think about what you want to fish for and what types of baits you will use. To make it easier for you, we have listed some good basic information below. We have written the length of the rods in feet (ft), one foot is 30cm. • Ultralight fishing = 6ft - 7ft / 1g - 12g
• Light fishing = 7ft - 8ft / 12g - 20g
• All-round fishing = 7ft - 8ft / 20g - 35g
• Goose/Pike fishing = 7ft - 9ft / 35g - 50g
• Downsize fishing = 7ft - 9ft / 50g - 80g
• Pike fishing = 7ft - 9ft / 80g - 150g
• Heavy pike fishing = 8ft - 9ft / 150g >
• Sea trout fishing = 9ft - 11ft / < 40g
