Jigs

Jigs have been around for decades but in recent years there has been a plethora of different models and sizes. Today, they are the most sold baits on the market. Jigs are used for many types of fishing. A classic jig is associated with a lead skull and then fish the jig near the bottom.

Today, fishing is carried out in the same way, but something that is also popular is to tackle the jig with a "shallow-rig", this means that you simply jump over the jig head and fish the bait just below the surface. There are also different weights that you can weight these tackles with to get the jig down exactly at the depth you want to fish at. This type of tackle is most often used for large jigs during pike fishing.

The classic jig with a regular jig head is most often used for perch and zander fishing. Sometimes it can be difficult to choose the weight and size of the jig heads.
