Fly Fishing Rod

Fly fishing rods are made in different weight classes to match the line you are fishing with. When fishing for trout, grayling and perch, for example, you don't want too light a line but not too coarse either. This class is called #5/6 and then it is important that both rod and line have this classification for as optimal a cast as possible. There are different hardnesses in the rods and the absolute best thing when buying a rod is to come into the shop and feel it. But the most important thing to think about is that the fly line and rod match with the same classification.
